The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the
ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a
safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or
non-licensed healthcare professionals.

Intended Audience
Healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory
therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or
nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health
personnel.

Length: Approximately 4  hours
Course Fee-$60.00

 

 

This course teaches CPR and AED use as well as relief of Foreign Airway Body Obstructions (choking) in 

adults, children, and infants. Students will also learn how to use barrier devices.


Intended Audience
Responders such as teachers, security guards, lifeguards, and Health Club employees.  Also, the general public
who wants to learn CPR and AED skills.

Length:  Approximately 3 ½ hours
Course Cost: $45.00

 

BLS & Heartsaver Skills Sessions

This course is for the hands on portion of the online course for Heartcode BLS and Heartsaver AED.  In order to register, you must have completed the online course.  Visit www.shopcpr.heart.org to purchase the specific online course that you need.  


After taking Part 1 of an AHA Online course, Part 2 (skills practice), and Part 3 (skills test) must be completed at
an authorized AHA testing center.  You must bring a certificate of completion from the online course with you to
the skills session.


Course Length: Approximately ½ Hour
Fee: $25.00

Testing will take place at Fire Station #2, at 23748 W. 135th St, Plainfield, IL 60544

  • After class you will receive an email from eCards@heart.org  with information and a link to claim your ecard (check junk mail)
  • Click on the link, confirm your name and email, set-up a security question for future use and click to Agree to the Terms of use
  • Complete survey
  • Claim your card
  • If you miss, lose or delete the initial email, you can also claim your card directly at www.heart.org/mycards. You must log in using name and email exactly as you used them for class registration.
  • You may access your ecards anytime for future use at www.heart.org/mycards
